Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMF)

The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and the Department of Energy (DOE) coordinate an Electric and Magnetic Fields (EMF) Research and Public Information Dissemination (RAPID) Program. This web site contains a vast amount of information on the effects on biological systems of exposure to 60 Hz electric and magnetic fields produced by the generation, transmission and use of electric energy.
