SEPTEMBER 2006 INFORMATIONAL OPEN HOUSES PUBLIC INVITE
A Public Involvement Team referred to as The Community Working Group conducted a meeting on March 16, 2006 in Brattelboro. The group consists of 20 to 25 persons from the Southern Vermont area.

On April 27, 2006 the second Community Working Group Meeting was held at The Stratton Mountain Resort. A presentation was given by Dean LaForest (VELCO) regarding information on what transmission line options are realistic if considered as a component of the Southern Loop solution. A written summary of the meeting was produced and sent out to the group.
There were several questions raised in the area of Electromagnic Fields (EMF) and related health conserns. The following web sites were suggested for reading on the subject.
On May 25, 2006 the Communty Working Group met in Bennington to discuss Demand Side Management and Distributed Generation. A written summary of the meeting was produced and sent out to the group. Also attached is the comprehesive DSM report.
At the 6/22/06 meeting of the Community Working Group, two presentations were delivered VELCO’s Transmission Planning Criteria given by Dean LaForest & Hantz Presume and Planning for the CVPS subtransmission network and their implications.
