Public Forums on the
2009 Vermont Long Range Transmission Plan

During April and May, 2009, VELCO hosted six meetings around the state to gather public input on the draft plan. They were:

Session Format

Meetings were held in the evenings to accommodate the general public, with the exception of the Montpelier session, which began at 1:30 p.m. to accommodate the many Montpelier-based agencies and organizations with a professional interest in the Plan. All sessions were scheduled to run two hours following the timeframe shown below.

Convened by the Snelling Center

The public forums are hosted by VELCO and convened by the Snelling Center for Government. VELCO has engaged the Snelling Center to assist in the public engagement process to reach out to Vermonters throughout the state.

The mission of the Snelling Center for Government is to foster responsible and ethical civic leadership, encourage public service by private citizens, and promote informed citizen participation in shaping public policy in Vermont.
