Project Updates
Highgate Substation Project Public Meeting
VELCO invites neighbors in the Highgate area, and other interested people to an informational meeting about a proposed project to upgrade the Highgate Substation. The meeting will be held on Thursday, August 18, at 5:00 p.m. at the Project Site, 2731 Route 78, Highgate, VT. VELCO community outreach staff will explain the proposed upgrades and answer any questions.

VELCO receives PUC authorization to begin construction
The Vermont Public Utility Commission granted VELCO’s petition for a Certificate of Public Good, to begin construction on the Highgate Substation upgrades.
Construction to begin week of April 3
VELCO is set to begin construction on its Highgate Substation the week of April 3. Construction crews will begin to mobilize equipment to the site.
