Project Updates
Middlebury Substation Project Public Meeting
VELCO invites neighbors in the Middlebury area, and other interested people to an informational meeting about a proposed project to upgrade the Highgate Substation. The meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 29, at 5:30 p.m. at the Middlebury Town Office, 77 Main Street, Middlebury, VT. VELCO community outreach staff will explain the proposed upgrades and answer any questions.

VELCO receives CPG to begin construction
The Vermont Public Utility Commission granted VELCO’s petition for a Certificate of Public Good to begin construction on the Highgate Substation upgrades.
Construction to begin week of October 23
VELCO is set to begin construction the week of October 23. Construction crews will begin to mobilize equipment to the site.
